Yusuf Ali’s translated Quran has a notes section that discusses the different meaning of certain Arabic words – so one can make their own judgments about what is written. I do know some Arabic and his translations are very very thorough.

I think Allah pays more attention to what is inside a person. the words of this song are important than anything else. That is one of the reasons most so called muslims are lacking compassion and tureness of what islam is all about. They pay too much attention to physical world. The need to focus on the spiritual asspect of what islam is all about and we will lead the world. Islam is much more then just covering hair and bodies its about humanity and compassion.
Language makes a big difference. Can u understand Chinese if u don’t know a single word of Chinese? Similarly Arabic language is not known to majority of people of Pakistan whereas Quran is written in Arabic. Most of the people don’t even bother to read it’s translation in Urdu so they don’t even know what’s written in it. They just follow what the molvis tell them who teach these masses nothing other than extremism.
It’s just like if u read “Geeta” without understanding what’s written in it.

Im Hindu and the only encounters I’ve had with Muslims (though they are good people at heart), is the ones like 1slamicLife, they argue just like him. I always give Islam the benefit of the doubt though. My question is what difference does it make if he reads the Holy Quran in Urdu or Arabic. How would the language difference make him see Baba Bulleh Shah as a true Muslim?

That’s not true.. Sufism started as an interpretation of Islam, any history book will tell you so- or Wikipedia.
However some “contemporary” Sufis only practice Sufism as an emphasis on spirituality, without acknowledging any Islamic practices.
And Sufiism is not a form of Islam, not even an interpretation of it. It is simply a beautiful emphasis on spirituality that is part of Muslim culture in some parts.
Ahmadiism is not Islam. I respect it as its own religion and am not criticizing it, but just making a neutral point. By definition, anyone who rejects that Muhammad was the last of God’s prophets is NOT Muslim.
