No one like Carl Sagan, period. He is the Pele, Micheal Jordan, Muhammad Ali, of teaching astronomy and physics to a humanity that barely understands anything. A master of masters to the fullest extent.

Religion demands certainty, and faith, and devotion. And it also drills mostly complacent, incurious minds; Ones that will not bother to ask plausibility of all the graves of Jerusalem opening at once. Forgive me, but those are hardly faculties associated with enlightenment.

I don’t know about you but I was taught that you should LOVE the lord, also religion is only a belief and what you believe only applies to yourself, not to to everyone. It’s people like you that make religion look like a deadly restriction instead of a path to enlightenment.

This song and Carl in it, inspired me to get a hold of the old Cosmos series, which i have never watched – Even though some of the science in it is outdated, the way Carl tells it is mesmerizing and makes it interesting. Truly an excellent educator – I know see why Neil deGrasse Tyson was an obvious choice for the remake. Can’t wait for it!

    Actually, he sent idiocy.
It matters not what one’s beliefs and inward thoughts are, only what comes out.

If science was sent by satan to ruin our faith, god sent religion to ruin our reason.

As I lay on what could of have been my death bed, having my heart stop at one point due to Vtach episodes, in Oct. and Nov. I listened to this song as well as the other SOS songs repeatedly which helped keep me calm and at ease throughout much of the entire month long experience. They’re so inspirational. :)
