Job Title:
School Bus Driver
Job Description:
Part-time; 2 hours between 6:00 am - 9:30 am / 2 hours between 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm; With potential to become a charter driver (full and part-time) or full-time spare driver. Additional employment opportunities will be available.

Rate of Pay:
• Up to $89.00 per day driving a school bus
(based upon four hours per day including Attendance Bonus)
Safety Bonus paid annually

Qualifications:
Valid Alberta Operator's License
Can pass a driver’s medical
Can pass a criminal background check
Can pass drug/alcohol test
Fluency in English
Like to drive and like to work with children
Details:
We will pay for the driver’s medical check-up, background check, Alberta's written test, drug/alcohol testing, Class 2 road test and the license upgrade.
Our training program consists of a minimum of 20 hours of “in bus” training as well as 18 hours of classroom.  The training is provided at no cost to you

Topics in the classroom include:
  • Student Management
  • Defensive Driving
  • Special Needs Transportation
  • Emergency Evacuations
  • Injury Prevention       
We will also provide training on your route so that you are familiar with the children and directions before going out on your own.
 
Summer training hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with a half hour for lunch (a fridge and microwave are available for your convenience.)
